Christian,

The easiest and best thing to do is to come out and see us at Northlake 
Park, Denton - on Monday evening around 7pm. That is our fighter practice 
though it is as much social meet and greet as it is meet and beat. The SCA 
is one of those hobby's where you do not need much in the way of funds to 
get and be involved, but it is also a hobby in which you will get out of it, 
what you put in to it. There are many of us who will help you get started, 
such as your first set of 'clothes' or garb. It is really a casual pursuit, 
but it is best explained in person as the amount of typewritten material you 
will receive may seem daunting or overwhelming at first.

fighter practice on Mondays at Northlakes Park in Denton at 7:30.  There is 
almost always people watching as well as learning to fight.  Come on out and

We do not have a membership fee, unless you want to hold an office. Glaslyn 
fighter practice and meetings are free. Events (which we can explain 
further) require a fee + non member charge of $5.

Hello, I was a spectator at one of the gatherings at the park, and had
decided that I wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, shortly
thereafter, I injured my shoulder on a hiking expedition. Has anyone
here had to deal with this type of thing? If so, what did you do to
heal, and how long did it take to return to the games? Thank you.

Yea, depends on the nature of the injury. Could be anything, for me I take 
some ibuprofen. But if it is something serious, follow what your dr. says. 
Better it heals right so you can fight all your life, than a few short years 
due to not treating it right. Or, better safe than sorry.

So to make it short, see what the dr says about it.
