Yea, depends on the nature of the injury. Could be anything, for me I take some ibuprofen. But if it is something serious, follow what your dr. says. Better it heals right so you can fight all your life, than a few short years due to not treating it right. Or, better safe than sorry. 

So to make it short, see what the dr says about it.
