[Glaslyn] Fighter Practices times and places

I am fairly new to the SCA, i have been to a few events in the past, but have not as of yet been able to participate in the fighting. I currently live in the Sherman  / Denison area and am looking for a group that I can go to fighter practices with as well as become authorized to fight. I also would need some guidance as far as making my armor and getting prepped for combat. If anyone can tell me times and places where fighter practices are being held, it would be greatly appreciated.
