I just have to tell you about Border March Autumn Melees / War of the Rams.

On Friday, in the presence of her Highness, Princess Lorelei of Gleann
Abhann, (also known as Osprey of Darwood Armory), Thorrgrim Haukarson of
Glaslynn was presented before the assembled rapier fighters as a youth
wishing to fight with the adults. The event rapier marshal, I believe his
name was Calvin, remarked that he had demonstrated himself to be a
competent rapier fighter and capable of safe conduct on the field. To the
cheers of acceptance from the assembled fighters, the Princess herself
declared him acceptable to fight with the adults both at War of the Rams
and at Gulf Wars. He spent the entire day on the field, fighting with teams
in melees and single combat scenarios, even competing the Heart of a
Musketeer challenge.
On Saturday, I had the distinct pleasure (as his weekend guardian and Youth
Rapier Marshal at Large) to stand with the Kingdom Rapier Marshal, Don
Avery Shaw, and the Kingdom Youth Rapier Marshal, Baroness Rixende de
Rouen, to withness his trials with other rapier fighters including Lady
Millicent de Rowan, and recieved his authorization for adult rapier combat.
He returns from war a youth no longer. He is now Thorgrrim Haukarson, an
accepted fighter among the finest of rapier combatants in Ansteorra and is
well prepared to represent his Kingdom and Canton at Gulf Wars.

Vivat! Thorrgrim You have made your Canton and Barony Proud of You!
