Dear Nicole,

On those buttonholes, I would cheat and make them by machine using an
invisible thread or one close to it and then go back and stitch over them by
hand using buttonhole twist.  Sounds like double work but at least they would
be shaped perfectly and you wouldn't have to worry about that part.

Just a thought
