Saw a t-shirt once which had a picture of a Charles Dana Gibson sort of
lady turning her back on a sales table full of fabric, doing some dramatic
Victorian gesture of rejection, and the caption said "Get thee behind me,
satin."

Margo Lynn Hablutzel writes, in a message sent 01:14 AM 9/17/98 -0400:
>I could not resist forwarding this!!

>
>>A costumer died and found herself in a mystical place, surrounded by men
>>and women who wandered about admiring bolt on bolt of beautiful fabric on
>>shelves stretching on for as far as the eye could see.
>>
>>Overjoyed, the woman turned to a lady who was running her hands with
>>pleasure over a rich and costly silk, and said "This is a wonderful place!
>>Is it heaven??"
>>
>>The lady replied, "No, this is hell. There aren't any scissors."
