Just a point, usually obvious to many.  Make sure to use wool or a
wool/mohair blend or a blend with other wool type fibers, and not
synthetics.  Washable wools and synthetics will not shrink or full for
the purpose intended.   It would be a shame to put in several hours of
work and find that the end product is incapable of doing the final
finishing step needed (shrinking and fulling).
