HNW - Tambour work

The brand 'Snag Nabbit' comes to mind, but this may not be the latch-hook
one.  What's wrong with doing tambour with a crochet hook?  I seem to
recall that crochet hooks have a slightly tapered shaft (I'd have to walk
all across the room this early in the morning to check) and a 'real'
tambour hook has a straight shaft.
