HNW - The Needlework of Mary Queen of Scots

Hello List,

The photographs of the Oxburgh hangings are nicely done in the book The Needlework of Mary Queen of
Scots by Margaret Swain.

I have not had the privelege of seeing the hangings in person, but by looking at the photos in the
book through a magnifying glass, they are slips done in cross stitch, applied to a velvet
background.

The book is available in the UK from its publisher Ruth Bean, and in the States or elsewhere from
me.
