HNW - Knitting /crocheting question

Does anyone have a pattern for a knitted tunic? I'm a novice knitter, and I 
have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to get tired of socks and mittens. 
Those are all of the patterns I have right now. I'd like to know how to do 
something else. Thanks in advance.
