HNW - early silk Stockings

Has anyone on this list read the article:  "Some Early Silk Stockings in 
Sweden" by Gudrun Ekstrand, which appeared in Textile History Vol 13, pp. 
165-182, 1982?

I would like to discuss the way the gusset stitches appear to have been 
picked up, as I have a theory on this.

Anyone?  This article is worth looking for, as it has wonderful clear close 
up photos of silk stockings.
