HNW - or nue

I'm working on my first piece of or nue embroidery --

What are you using for the gold?  Do you like it?
What are you using for the ground?
Are you using silk or cotton for the color - how many strands?

I have to move first (the fabric
stash and craft stuff gets it's own room!  Yay!!).

This is really nice -- I've got a workroom for the first time too, and it 
is wonderful to be able to carry on and then walk out of the room when you 
need a break!
