I'm sure the librarians lurking can give a much better description.  Basically
it's like a super card catalog.  Lots of libraries have their collections
indexed.   It's a subscription service so there isn't any free internet access to
it (that I'm aware of).  I can get to it from my local library's web page -- all
I have to do is enter my library card number.  Yippee!
