Actually, it's less a case of "well done" and more a case of how one forms 
the stitches and the direction they're worked. If one works horizontally 
doing all the under stitches first and then goes back along the row and does 
the over stitch, then it will look like this on the back. Another method for 
cross stitch involves working the entire cross stitch completely, and is 
easiest when done vertically. It looks more like a backwards seven.
