I'm fond of those reprinted books of embroidery patterns Dover, and others,
have published. The ones with woodcut illustrations. Check this list for
names, as I don't have any to hand at the moment.
(I read further in this thread, and there's one recommended. I may even
have it, packed somewhere.)
