HNW - Netting Supplies

Good morning,

I am new to this list, and am just starting to learn lacemaking techniques.  Is there anyone on this list who knows where in the Lower Mainland of BC Canada that I may pick up Netting supplies, and Bobbin Lace supplies?

I am grateful for any help!

Also, who knows when the actual art of Netting actually came about?
