Hi,
Gutterman was the first silk I ever tried to use and I'll be honest, I don't
like it for embroidery. It is tightly twisted, with gives it a different hand
and properties. I *love* it for handsewing, though, it's wonderful and strong.
I've also played with fingerloop braiding it into fine cords, which works
fairly well. I don't have the buttonhole twist, I have the jewelry silk that's
finer and has a pretty tight twist.
What project are you planning to use the silk for?
Cheers,
Gabrielle
