Hampton Court.  It's a day trip not far out of town.  Not a HUGE textile
place (now that, as I believe, the Embroiderers' Guild has moved, but
check that), but if you're interested in Tudor period, much worth the trip
(extra worth it if you're into cooking, excellent reconstruction and
representation on the kitchens).
