[HNW] Colors in Embroidery Threads

Hi, all,

A friend just sent me this request and the only books I have on color talk about the development of dyes but nothing about use in embroidery.  Do any of you have any suggestions?

"Can you direct me to a book, or something that discusses the time line of thread colors in embroidery works?"
