Greetings,

  At Sunday’s Rapier melee practice, as a group we discussed the upcoming
opportunities for additional melee practices and authorization efforts for
both rapier and armored combat. This is particularly critical for those
fighting both styles which this year’s schedule has been specifically
crafted to prevent overlapping combat commitments.

  We are down to only five practices before Gulf Wars. After counseling with
our war commanders, we are announcing that Bryn Gwlad will be alternating
armored and rapier melees up unto Gulf Wars to give everyone adequate
chances to get experience and authorizations.

  This being the second Tuesday, it is already a scheduled armored melee
practice, so schedule is as follows:

   - 2/6 Regional Rapier melees in Bryn Gwlad (just past)
   - 2/8 Armored melees
   - 2/15 Rapier melees
   - 2/19 Regional Armored melees in Ffynnon Gath
      - Including authorizations for combat archery and siege!
   - 2/22 Armored melees
   - 3/1 Rapier melees
   - 3/8 Armored melees

  For those who have been waiting for the Gulf War Schedule, the general
schedule is finally on the website! Unfortunately the class schedule is not
yet available, but and inquiry has been made and we will try to keep an eye
out for it. Since the topic is melees, the combat war points are as such:

   - Tuesday
      - 2-4 Chivalric Town Battle (No Archery)
   - Wednesday
      - 11-1 Combat Archery (Ravine)
      - 11-1 Rapier Field Battle (No Archery)
      - 2-4 Rapier Ravine Battle (No Archery)
   - Thursday
      - 10-12 Rapier Champions
      - 12-2 Chivalric Champions
      - 2-4 Chivalric Ravine Battle (w/ Archery)
   - Friday
      - 11-1 Chivalric Bridge Battle (No Archery)
      - 2-4 Chivalric Field Battle (w/ Archery & probably Siege)
   - Saturday
      - 11-12 Chivalric Castle Battle (w/ Archery & Siege)

  If you want to support the combat war points but aren’t a combatant, there
are other ways you can help out.

   - You could cheer on our combatants as they take the field! People of all
   ages can do this and it is inspiring to our troops knowing that their deeds
   of valor and honor are being witnessed.
   - You could help with fighter support, more commonly known as
   waterbearing. People of all ages can do this helping keep our fighters
   hydrated and safe.
   - You could marshal and help keep our fighters safe and on the field.
   Every kingdom needs to provide an adequate number of marshals and if we do
   not have enough, we have to pull combatants from the field to assist with
   marshalling.
