Greetings,
There have been a number of people that have approached me recently about
archery and getting started in it. The main subject has been bows.
I understand for those of you who are new to archery you do not want to spen
a arm and leg on a bow until you have tried it.

I have discovered that Amazon.com has a number of inexpensive bows available
for purchase. I found three specifically that are under $100.00

1. Bear Archery FIREBIRD - This is a very very basic recurve fiberglass bow.
It can be used right or left handed - 30-35# draw 28" Overall length 60"
Price $39.99

2. Bear Archery TITAN - A step up from the Firebird with a little better
look. Still a good bow. 60" overall 30# draw at 28" Price $47.00

3. Rough and Ready English style Longbow - Bow looks great, comes unfinished
but shootable. Sadly it is only offered in 40 - 50# Draw weight at 28"
Price $89.00 Which may be too heavy for a Archer starting out.

There are probably other bows on Amazon for around the same amount or a bit
more.

If you are just starting out I would suggest that you stay in the 30-35#
draw weight area until you and your muscles get used to shooting.

There is a Longbow on "Buy It Now" on EBay. The maker currently has 28
available. These are 35# @ 28". Price is $46.95 and $16.00 shipping. These
are brand new bows. English longbow styling.

I am also going to locate the site/address for a discount Archery place I
ordered from a few years back. As I recall they had some great starter bows
for decent prices.

I hope this helps. I will continue to look for other possibilities.

Yours in Service
Lord Eric Bentbow
