[Hellsgate] FWD: Nom Noms for Tree Stumps

Greetings Hellsgate!

In my excitement, I didn't send this out to you last night. I am terribly
sorry for the oversight.

I am interested in helping Countess Gilyan in her quest for funds in order
to remove the tree stumps at Gulf Wars! I was wondering if anyone else
would be interested?

As of right now, there are 5 people willing to make and donate items and I
am leaning towards doing a raffle on July 17th in order to be able to
collect and give the funds to Countess Gilyan at Pennsic.

Would anyone be willing to contribute towards the cause?

For those who go to Gulf Wars and camp with Ansteorra, or plan to in
the future, you may be interested in the content of this email. For
everyone else, keep looking for eggs. If you don't find the last few
now, you will end up smelling them next week...

A few years ago many of the trees at Kings Arrow Ranch were cut down
and the stumps were left in the ground. The stumps are small enough
that you can walk over them without too much trouble, but they become
problematic when you are trying to place tents and tent stakes. I'm
going to throw out a random guess of 100 stumps on Ansteorran land at
Gulf Wars of various sizes. As many of you know, trying to tetris
tents and ropes around these stumps every year gets to be quite
problematical.

There is "a guy" with a stump grinder that takes care of problems just
like ours at Kings Arrow Ranch quite often. In order to help clear
land and make more of it camp-able I'm going to start raising money to
have every one of the stumps in Ansteorran land ground. That's right -
*all* of them. IIRC, the rate per stump is $20 (perhaps less since it
will be a batch job). That means I need to raise $2000. A lofty goal,
but an achievable one, IMO.

To start, I'll be baking yummy things and bringing them to events and
selling them. All money will go towards clearing the Ansteorran land
of stumps and anything leftover will go into other land maintenance or
the private Gate Fund.

I'll be at Wiesenfeuer Baronial this weekend with cakes, cupcakes, and
cookies. Bring your sweet tooth and your coin purse!
