1) Il Libro del'Arte (The Craftsman's Handbook) by Cenino Cellini
http://www.noteaccess.com/Texts/Cennini/

This should be in every artisan's library, but why pay money for it when you can find the entire thing online. Il Libro del'Arte gives advice on making paints, painting, frescoes, copper tooling, making gesso and much more!

2)On Divers Arts by Theophilus Presytyr
http://books.google.com/books?id=wo4EAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false

Another must-have and it's conveniently online. Yay! More advice on painting, metal casting, making a forge and more. This edition has the Latin and the English.

3) British Archeology Site
http://finds.org.uk/

A searchable database of archeological finds in Great Britain. It has color photos, dimensions, and material the artifact was made from. Looking for a cool site from which to get ideas to cast stuff? Here it is. Looking for a site to help you choose authentic items from a merchant? Here it is!

4) Kingdom of Atlantia A&S website
http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/wsnlinks/

Why doesn't Ansteorra have a cool website of useful links like this one? Perhaps because we're like the Norse - why make something when we can just take what you made. Anyway, there are 30+ sections each with dozens, sometimes hundreds of links to cool A&S info.

I can't wait to see what themembers of the Stronghold make!!

Grace and Peace,

Jovian
