Arts & Sciences Day in Bryn Gwlad!

The Barony of Bryn Gwlad will be hosting an Arts and Sciences Day on 
November 10th from 10:00 am -4:00 pm at the Wells Branch Community 
Center, 3000 Shoreline Drive, Austin, Tx 78728.  Site opens at 9:30 a.m.

Topics will include:


An Introduction to SCA Arts and Sciences
Documentation for Beginners
Displaying Your Art for Competition
The Judging Process

Along with presentations on:

Introduction to European Courtly Dances
Tunics through Time
Embroidery
Introducing Fruit to Alcohol aka Making Cordials
Making a Six Board Chest
Five Basic Stitches for Leather
Cooking for A&S
Distaff Spinning in the Hand
Armour as an A&S Field
Bardic
Nalbinding

AND!
A brown bag luncheon with the Laurels who will address ANY question you
 have (though they may not have an answer for the average airspeed of an
 unladen swallow)

NOT TO MENTION!
Two hours of Project 
Consultation. Bring your ideas, documentations (finished or in the 
process), projects (finished or in the process) or anything else you 
want to talk to the Laurels about in getting their thoughts and 
perceptions.
