I am sorry to hear of this change in your life.  I know that transition has
a significant impact on the life of a Soldier and will assist you in any way
I can.  I hope to see you out even if it is just to sit and talk.  Without
knowing the extent of the injuries, I do not feel it proper for me to offer
advice on fighting, however, I do recommend you discuss it with the doctors
as you work through the process.

Lords and ladies,

It is with a heavy heart that I let you my SCA family know that I am being
processed out of the Army for medical reasons. I will almost certainly be
placed on the medically retired list and should be out of the Army by June
of next year. This is part of the reason that I have missed so many Socials
and Events recently. I am currently in the process of figuring out if I will
continue heavy fighting (which I love) or if I need to dial it back some. If
anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

So as not to seem full of doom and gloom however, I will be taking the
opportunity to go to school when I get out and pursue my history degree (go
figure from a SCAdian haha). We will still be in the area for at least the
next three years while Amy is in the Army and I look forward to the
increased time I will have to help with our rapidly growing group. I feel
that it is better to accept life altering change with a glad heart rather
than fear the unknown. Thank you all for your time.
