[Hellsgate] Invites - Facebook Events

Greetings,

You will notice, that you did not get an invite for Social tonight. The
reason is two fold.

1) I have had some members ask not to send it to them for the things that
we do weekly, and with everything I send out for the pages and the other
things, it gets hard making sure I don't send it out to the wrong people as
I populate the invite list  from a friends list subcategory I have on
facebook.

2) It is my personal belief that if a complete stranger opens an event page
and sees 45 invites with only between 1- 6 people responding weekly, that
person will draw one of two assumptions.

Assumption 1) That so few people are going because its not worth the effort.
Assumption 2) That this group is not active, so why bother checking it out.

Neither of the assumptions is accurate, and instead of taking a chance of a
prospective newcomer thinking such, I am going to do away with the weekly
invites. I will continue to put the events on the page and use them like
Advertisements.

For items not done on a weekly basis I will continue to send those invites
out. Those being; Populace, A&S, 2nd Saturday, Tiny Tourney, Demo's, Etc. I
will leave one weekly event in the group with invites going out, that being
Open Shop Night, as every once in a while it is not held weekly.
