Why is you never see the mistake until you've sent the e-mail?
*sigh*

My suggestion of:

"Or, a tower sable and in chief three roses in fess proper."

is still in conflict with that of Harold Breakstone:
"Or, a castle triple-towered sable, pennants flotant to sinister vert."

The suggestion of "Or, a tower counter-ermine, between three roses proper."
would be clear.

Another suggestion that would be clear would be:

"Or, a tower sable, between three roses proper, a bordure sable.
