Unfortunately, this device has several problems. First, the SCA's Rules
for Submission VIII.2.b.iv require that a field divided into multiple
parts of two tinctures (as is plumetty) have good contrast between the
parts. Since Or and argent are both metals, they do not have good
contrast. A plumetty field needs to be made up of a color and a metal.


Second, this device would conflict with the arms of Percy that you noted,
"Or, a lion rampant azure," with only one difference for the changes to
the field. Turning the lion to sinister would not solve the problem
because it would then conflict with the badge of Will Langdon of
Greymorne, "Ermine, a lion rampant to sinister azure."


It's a very pretty design, but you will need to change the tinctures of
the field and add something to it (perhaps a chief?) in order to clear
the conflict.
