SCA created term meaning "like a hedgehog (herisson)" wherein the cat is
in classic `Halloween' posture - back up, tail vertical and fluffed, all
four feet on the ground.  The posture is barely period, the blazon is not;
the period depiction was simply blazoned "un chat" (a cat):

    A question was raised regarding the use of herissony in our blazonry.
    While the term itself, to the best of our knowledge, is not period,
    the posture was done in period. Hierosme de Bara's Le Blason des
    Armoiries (1581) shows a cat in this position. [The submission was
    blazoned as herissony] (Rowan of Iron Mountain, 8/97 p. 10)

By Laurel precedent there is no difference between herissonee and passant.

    "The only real difference between herissony and passant is the arch of
    the back and position of one paw, so [there is no CVD]." (LoAR 12/90
    p.16).
