Yes you are correct. Since we do not take into account time of day in
the precedence calculation, then two grants given on the same day are
equal in precedence. a persons precedence is figured as follows: 

Precedence # of highest award held / year / Month / Day  The year is 4
digits month and day are two digit. This producing a 10 digit
"Precedence Number" indicating where in the Roll of Precedence a person
should be listed.

The reports generated from the data base alphabetizes when the listings
are produced. So even though Don Eadric was made a companion to the
order first in an earlier crowns reign, Don Aubrey has equal
precedence.
