Withycombe, page 25 s.n. Ann gives Anne of Bohemia, queen of Richard III.  
By the beginning of the 17th century it was one of the most common English 
given names.  It is found in England from 1218 to the end of our period.

page 99 s.n. Elizabeth gives by 1600 it accounted for 20% of English 
baptismal names for women.  It is found in England from 13th century to the 
end of our period.

page xliii King James I in 1605 had two given names of Charles James.  
Double given names such as Mary Anne date from after 1688.  The SCA still 
registers them.
