Nothing of substance in my reply here ...

Kathri asks:
> is there a medieval/Renaissance heraldic charge associated with the
> quality of patience?

And why do *you* need to know?

You could go for the aural pun and suggest a rod of Aesculapius or a
bowl of Hygeia ...

Kathri> it's Job if . . . . ?
Chandra> He's covered with boils head to toe? :)

But if you include the stolen oxen and asses and camels, the burned
sheep, the piles of variously slain servants, and the piles of dead
sons, the design will get a bit too crowded.
