[ANSTHRLD] Fwd: Name / Spelling for "Tessa" of the Gardens

Ansteorran Kingdom Star Principal Herald herald at ansteorra.org

After some clipping of persona story, I have the follow
request from Countess Theresa "Tessa" of the Gardens.
Is the documentation sited enough to change her name?
Is there other documentation to support this name
change?

A note can be placed in the OP for the name 'Tessa of
the Gardens' referring to 'Theresa of the Gardens',
this is not a problem. A more permenant solution would
be preferable.

Any info on the Marquess/Marchioness titles would be
appreciated.

Subject: Name / Spelling for "Tessa"

This communication is being sent to Heralds with whom I
spoke briefly at TRM Duncan and Larissa's Coronation 3
days ago.

If one were to look in the O.P. for the name Tessa
of the Gardens, how would one find that name?
Basically, as such, it is not there.

<snip>

My love Simonn and I reigned as Third Prince and
Princess in the Principality of Ansteorra (1978-79)
as "Simonn and Tessa." My name acceptance was
accomplished in 1983 because (my family and I were
led to believe) I was to become the IX th Queen of
Ansteorra, and it would reflect poorly upon the
herald's office if my name were not yet passed (rather
than poorly upon me for not having submitted, for verily
it was known from Arizona to New York that I had been
cycling the paperwork including documentation for the
name Tessa). The approval came as "T-her-esa," with
one 's'. Or maybe it was spelled "Therese."
Documentation for "Tessa" is found in _The_
Decameron_, by Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375). From
the translation by Richard Aldington, FIRST TALE, 3rd
paragraph:
"...His wife was a very beautiful, clever and charming
woman, by name Monna Tessa, the daughter of Mannuccio
da la Cuculia. Perceiving that her husband was......"

<snip>

Is it possible please to enter this name in the
roll call of Queens Who Graced the Crown read at
coronations and/or alphabetically in the O.P. in
parentheses as:
("Tessa") Theresa of the Gardens ?

Or respell Tessa in the various awards where my name is
listed in the O.P.?

Thank you for your guidance in any possible
options. If an application form or re-registration fee
is required for handling paperwork, please advise.

One more item, while we are here:
From Black Star, February xvi, page 4, FROM THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS was the title of
Marquess/Marchioness ever approved by the BoD in
Corpora to be used by persons who have regined once in
a principality and once in that kingdom? If so, Simonn
and I both would like to look into that use.

Awaiting the pleasure of your company in reply,
I live the dream as

Tessa of the Gardens
