His Majesty will be creatig a new award some time this reign for leaders
on the battlefield (both heavy and light)

the proposed name ids the "Order of the Vine Staff" named for the vine
staff or "Bacalorum" (sp?) caried by leaders of the Roman Leigions and
continued to be carried by generals even after the fall of Rome

the Proposed badge would be "Or a club Sable, a tierce sinister
embattled Gules"

in english a Black Club on a gold field with a red embattled tierc on
the left side
