[ANSTHRLD] GoA vs. GoR

There is no difference that I am aware of between a Grant of Arms and
a Grant of Rank. They are the same award, but were entered
differently.
Until very recently, the application that the data was stored in was
Access, which did not have forced standardization of the way awards
were entered (ergo. pop-up menus or a list to pick from). So if a
herald sent in a scroll that said GoA or GoR that is how it was
entered. The new program has forced standardization, so this should
not happen in the future.
If you would like your award abbreviation changed from GoA to GoR, I
will be happy to do that. This is not a change in the award, just a
change in the abbreviation for it. I will not change the award
abbreviation unless specifically asked to do so by the person who has
the award, as some people may want it left alone.
The other grant level awards with that precedence are foreign orders
and cannot be changed.
