Reaney & Wilson _A Dictionary of English Surnames_, p. 242 s.n. Huddleston
gives Huddlestone as a header spelling and references Richard de Hudelesdun
in 1200. The name is a locative, "from Huddleston".
That ought to be enough for registration. Good name!
