The January 2000 Cover Letter also in Elsbeth's precedents under the heading
BIRD - PRECEDENT ON DIFFERENCE
Boils down to posture, period use, and identifying marks. Pretty much, if
it has feathery wings and no long legs and is displayed it conflicts with
an eagle, as in period only eagles were displayed.

So it's a conflict, right.

> Wilhelm Schatzgeyer November of 1997 (via the Middle):
> Sable bezanty, an eagle displayed Or.
> One CD for removing the semy of bezants and another for adding the annulet.

No, one CD for changing type of secondary charges from bezants to an annulet
and another CD for changing number of secondary charges from lots to one.

> Niklas Vasilevich May of 1999 (via Ansteorra):
> Sable, a double-headed eagle, a bordure engrailed Or.
> Conflict!

With only one CD for change of type of secondary charge.

> Constanza di Giovanni December of 1984 (via Meridies):
> Sable, a dove ascending within a mascle between in chief two trefoils Or.
> 2 CDs for change in type and number of secondary group.

Two secondary groups in Constanza's armory. So there's a CD for removing
the secondary group in chief and a CD for changing the mascle to an annulet.

> Eirikr Eyvindarson October of 1993 (via Atenveldt):
> Sable, in pale an eagle displayed guardant and a serpent nowed contourny,
> within an orle Or.
> Clear but same design motif. Included so the Loch can avoid it.

And it's clear because there's a CD for removing a charge from the primary
charge group (the serpent) and a CD for changing the type of secondary
charge from orle to annulet.
