Actually one of the books does have the surname "Wolffe" in various
spellings. I have been working on a name for someone who wants to have
the same surname. I suspect it is the same person. :) :) I just have
not had the time to finish doing the research.

Subject: [ANSTHRLD] Name Question

Esteemed Heralds of the list:

I have a client who wants to use the name 'le Wulff' (the Wolf) for a
13th
or 14th century Frenchwoman's surname. To the best of my scant
knowledge,
this is not admissible - it would have to be le Loup, instead. Would
anyone be willing to confirm this?

With thanks,

Elysia de Solares
Deputy Oakenwald Pursuivant
Barony of the Steppes
