Ok everyone, this is easier than calling all of you individually.

Darius has made it through back surgery beautifully. The doctor found it
all a little worse than the films indicated, but that was not a problem.
Surgery was at L5-S1 where the doctor removed the cartledge that was pushing
on the siatic (I can't spell) nerve. He is in the Post-Op recovery room at
Arlington Memorial.

He is being his normal, snarky self, that wants things on his own time
scale. He was not pleased to wait for paperwork to be done before he got
his ice chips and stuffed tiger. Darius said the pain is less than it
has been in months and that he felt like he had been stabbed in the back
(funny - that is exactly what the doctor did). In a word "It Hurts!" In
about 3-4 hours he will be moved to a room. His goal tonight is to eat, get
up and walk, and see his girls. If he has been a good boy, the doctor will
let him come home on Thursday.
