Found Clare in Talan Gwynek's article in Saint Gabriel, Feminine Given Names
in A Dictionary of English Surnames - Section 1250 to 1450, C-E. URL is:
http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/talan/reaney/index_mid2.html

Any arguments on passability?

Yes, I remember you. In future, if you use so short a subject line, you may
be deleted without being read. I was lucky to have remembered seeing your
email address before.

Should be fairly straight forward. I'll check the sources and let you know
what I find. I'll also send it out to the Ansteorran Heralds list to see
what they have to say about the name and it's registerability.
