Actually, Master Daniel, not to be difficult (or moreso than usual), but
Alden was right.
All of the charges used on the field are identical.
They are spread out across the field and not all stuck into one quarter.
Therefore this device has "identical charges over the entire field".
So does "Per pale gules and argent, two lions combattant counterchanged."
Two lions, all over the field.  :)
Therefore this proposal defies marshalling by meeting two of the criteria
required to not look like marshalling, identical charges over the entire
field and no quarter appearing to be an independent piece of armory.
