    date of birth (most notably: Noel).

    Gaylard is in Reaney and Wilson 3rd ed p. 182 s.n. Galliard (hi,
    Peter-Nelle!).  "Galiard" is ME 'lively, brisk; gay, full of high
    spirits'.
