My guess is that this won't work, because this is essentially (visually)
the same as "On a roundel dovetailed argent a pellet", which means the
dragon would be layer 3, insta-boing.

You could stick a lozenge in there instead, or a delf perhaps, or a
mullet of 6 points even.
