[ANSTHRLD] Conflict Check

The color of the string should not count for any difference, I believe,
so you are comparing an argent bow (incidentally strung Or) against an
Or bow with an Or arrow. I honestly do not know whether the addition of
the arrow would be sufficient to generate one CD. So...

Either:
A) The addition of the arrow will count as a sustained item in a charge
group (bow and arrow vs. bow) and you will have one CD for change to
half the primary charge plus change of color for two CDs. Or...
B) The addition of the arrow is a maintained charge by the bow in which
case it counts for nothing and the devices are considered the same with
no CDs. Or...
C) Somewhere there is a precedent that bows with arrows are counted as
substantially different charges that bows alone, in which case you have
complete difference of primary charge and the CD count is not needed.

I believe that the arrow is a maintained charge, not worth a difference,
and you only have one CD.

I, too, am interested in seeing what the answer to this is.

Subject: [ANSTHRLD] Conflict Check

Greetings again,

I have another request to check my work, as I am learning, and do not
want
to be wrong about something. Our archery marshal would like to register
his
device as:

Vert, a longbow nocked with an arrow and drawn Or.

There is a device registered as this, which I'm wondering if he will
conflict:
Erica Gealbogha
The following device associated with this name was registered in July of
1997 (via Atenveldt):
Vert, a bow argent, strung Or.

I know that there is no distinction between a bow and a longbow, but
what
I'm not clear on, is does the addition of the arrow, and the change of
color
from argent to solid or, count for 2 clear differences? To me it would
seem
not, but I want to be sure.

In service to the Dream,

Jaime Domingo del Valle
