For historical reference I have:
Agnes, d. of Hermann I, Lgv. of Thuringia
(Azure, a lion rampant barry of ten argent and gules crowned Or)
[Claws and tongue are Or also]
 
She married Henry of Austria (Son of the Duke of Austria) in 1225.
 
I believe Thuringia at one point evolved out of Saxony, and later got reabsorbed.

It's for a friend with a German persona, and from what
we can tell, barry charges were not uncommon in German
heraldry. We'd just like to have a very general idea
of whether or not it's likely to pass before
submitting it. I can send along a .bmp if it would
helpful.
