[ANSTHRLD] Sea-Serpent or Serpent?

Here's something I noticed: 

Loch Soilleir has sea serpents on their device & all their badges, except 
one which has a serpent.  Was it meant to be different? Or was it really 
meant to be a sea serpent? Here it is:

Loch Soilleir, Barony of|8811X|b|Vert, an Irish harp argent, stringed Or, 
within a serpent in annulo, head to chief and vorant of its own tail, 
argent.|(For the Bard of Loch
