As for your resubmission - contact your local herald and they will follow the chain of command and get you all taken care of.

When name changes happen, Zodiacus Herald has no way of knowing until the person contacts them to make changes.  Name spellings are also reported differently depending on how the reporting herald records it.   Form the standpoint of the data entry - I have no way of knowing when it is a different person or the same person, many people's names are close to other peoples names.  For duplicate entries, there are many coding problems with the database currently.  There is a team of individuals that are working feverishly to get a new database up and running as quick as possible.

  OK, so I am all too aware that I am overdue on resubmitting / following up on my own stalled name & device (according to the Oakenwald files, submission shown as "pending" since mid-90s as of a couple of months ago -- Yes, Aureliane-Isolde-Burke-Frederick-Zoren-Glas-Rosario-Da'ud-Daniel-Cai-Daniel-Borek-Cadell-Margaret-Robin-etc., I *am* intending to get the resub taken care of Real Soon Now...) 

  I am also aware that I have been included twice in the ROP, under a much earlier form of my name as well as something substantially more recognizable to my current usage.
  Now that I am aware of this, I have searched the Admin Handbook in vain in attempt to determine how to proceed.  The best / closest that I find is under the description of the duties of Zodiacus: 
    Zodiacus Herald oversees the compilation and maintenance of the Ansteorran Order of Precedence. Zodiacus will keep the database updated based on the reports submitted.

  Currently Used Name (preferred, pending better documentation/knowledge): Amr ibn Majid al-Bakri al-Amra
  ROP: Amr ibn-Majid al Bakr al-Amra 1520050813 CRANE 8/13/2005

  ROP: Amra M'Chib Bakerian 1919930724 AoA 7/24/199

  With that long-winded background, where should I go from here?  Even if the final registered form matches that of my Crane, the ROP will need updated.  (cf. the listing for HE Alys Durivau, with reference to three prior names under which awards were presented for an extant example of how to make such a combined entry)

  Should I have said something to the herald-of-record at the time of receiving my Crane?  Should I send a formal letter to Zodiacus? Oakenwald? Star? Several or all of the above?

  Overarching concern:  is it better to make an initial update NOW, or wait for an as-yet-indeterminate registration date?
