Others have addressed the issue of an obscured complex line of
division between two low-contrast sections.

There's another problem.

Unfortunately, "Per pale sable and purpure, a horse rampant Or"
     comes into conflict with:

     # Dáithí Ó Briain

         * The following device associated with this name was
registered in July of 2000 (via Atlantia): Per pale gules
and sable, a horse rampant Or.

You get a CD for a change in half the tincture of the field, but
the primary charge remains the same.

With a primary charge, you can get one CD for changes to the field,
but at most one CD. So no matter what you do to the field, as long as
it's of the form

     [Field], a horse rampant Or.

there's a conflict.
