Forgive me, I'm not a herald (ok, I'm a scribe), so I'm a bit confused by your request. On that
badge device request, is the design to have anything to do with the design of an actual Sable
Talon?  (I'm only asking as the kingdom is already working on a badge for the award of the Sable
Talon.)

Or is this just a request for the requesters own badge, now that they specifically have the 'right
to bear arms', since the Sable Talon carries an Award of Arms (AoA)?   

It's my understanding that anyone in Ansteorra can register name, device and badges without yet
having an AoA yet earned, where some kingdoms may require you to wait for an AoA before pursuing
arms registration.  So, this recipient could have registered a badge without receiving the Sable
Talon.   And yes, badges are registered just like devices, except they go on the badge form with
the round (bezant) shape instead of the shield shape.
