[ANSTHRLD] Name Documentation needed

I am trying to see if there is any documentation on the name “Reynard” I 
can use for my submission. What I know is the name can be found in use 
in the tails of “Reynard the Fox” dated back to I believe 12th century 
France. Can anyone give me a source I can use on my submission? Also in 
regards to place names used can they be fictitious or do they need to be 
form an actual region?
